Government's Struggle to Serve Elon Musk with Subpoena in Epstein-related Lawsuit

On Monday, May 15, the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands informed a federal judge that it has been unable to locate Elon Musk in order to serve him with a subpoena for documents related to its lawsuit. The lawsuit aims to hold JPMorgan Chase accountable for alleged involvement in sex trafficking activities conducted by Jeffrey Epstein, a businessman. Instead, the government intends to serve the subpoena to Musk's electric vehicle company.

 

In an effort to hold JPMorgan Chase accountable for alleged sex trafficking crimes committed by businessman Jeffrey Epstein, the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands is currently attempting to subpoena billionaire Elon Musk for relevant documents. It's worth noting that Musk has never been publicly implicated in any wrongdoing connected to Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting sex trafficking charges in a federal Manhattan jail.


Unsubstantiated Speculation: Epstein's Influence on Elon Musk's Business Matters

Throughout the years, there has been unsubstantiated speculation, fueled by Epstein himself, that Epstein had provided guidance to Elon Musk regarding certain business matters.

 

U.S. Virgin Islands' Suspicions of Epstein's Referral of Musk to JPMorgan

Representatives for Musk have refuted these claims. However, the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands has stated in a court filing that it suspects Epstein may have referred or attempted to refer Musk to JPMorgan as a potential client.


Lawsuit Allegations: JPMorgan's Facilitation of Epstein's Sex Trafficking Enterprise

Authorities have alleged that Epstein recruited and sexually abused numerous underage girls at his residences in New York and Palm Beach, Florida, during the early 2000s. Epstein had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
